Wedding veils are carefully folded for safe shipping, which may cause light creases in the tulle.
This is completely normal and can be easily removed with gentle steaming.

Below are the safest ways to smooth your veil before the wedding day.

Using a Garment Steamer (Recommended)

  1. Hang the veil on a hanger so it falls naturally.

  2. Start steaming from the top and move slowly downward along the length of the veil.

  3. Keep the steamer 20–30 cm (8–12 inches) away from the fabric.

  4. Let the steam relax the tulle — avoid touching the veil directly with the steamer head.

This method is the safest and most recommended for delicate bridal fabrics.

Using a Hair Dryer

If you don't have a steamer, you can gently remove wrinkles using a hair dryer.

  1. Set the dryer to medium heat.

  2. Lightly mist the wrinkled areas using a spray bottle with water.

  3. Blow warm air over the fabric until it smooths out.

Always keep the dryer at a safe distance to avoid overheating the tulle.

Using an Iron (Only if Necessary)

Ironing should be used only with great care.

  1. Lay the veil on a clean ironing board.

  2. Set the iron to low temperature or “synthetics” mode.

  3. Place a pressing cloth or gauze (folded in several layers) over the veil.

  4. Gently iron through the cloth, ensuring the veil never touches the hot soleplate directly.

Helpful Tips

  • Always test on a small section first.

  • Never use high heat on tulle.

  • Avoid direct heat on lace, pearls, or embellishments.

  • After steaming, let the veil hang freely so the fabric settles naturally.

💡 Bridal tip:
For the best results, steam your veil 1–2 days before the wedding and keep it hanging until the ceremony.
